Il Gesto Sospeso

Concept and design: Martux_M

“Il Gesto Sospeso” is a project developed by Maurizio Martusciello, aka Martux_M, musician, composer, sound designer. The installation was first presented on the 9th of July 2010 in the “Tempio di Adriano” in Rome, during the main event organised by Alta Roma, AltaRomAltaModa.

Overview

“Il Gesto Sospeso” is an audiovisual installation that explores the theme of metamorphosis. A digital gene of zoomorphic figures out of details from Roberto Capucci’s signature “ dress/sculptures “.

Dress/bodies, shapes and suspended in space engage e dialogue with the visitors with sound, movement and gesture: six light and sound sculptures interact dynamically with the setting an interaction born of the relationship perception and form.

An interactive system of sensors cues the figures to the movement of visitors as they near each panel: shapes come to life as you enter their sensory field.
